Visit the PA DEP northwest Regional Office in Meadville, PA

The entrance is on the corner of Chestnut St and Market St (South of the Meadville Market House.)
Just inside the entrance door there is a buzzer to push. Tell them you need a Bacteria test bottle. They will buz you in, take your payment (please have $10 cash with you to pay for the test) . You will be given a receipt, Instruction sheet and a sample bottle. Follow the instructions at home to draw a water sample to return to the same location.
The office is normally open Monday through Friday 8AM to 4PM but the sample must be dropped off Monday-Wednesday 8AM to 3PM and not the two days immediately before a holiday. The sample bottle must be dropped off the same day as it is filled.
